Ministerial Assignment / Responsibilities
Lagos Ferry Services Company (LFSC) was incorporated as a limited liability company on the 25th of January 2008 to operate as a state owned enterprise with a mandate to operate water transportation services by restoring and advancing the growth of public water transportation within Lagos State.
A Managing Director was appointed on 18th July 2012 and charged with the responsibility of implementing this present administration’s commitment to compliment its various efforts in addressing transportation challenges in Lagos by developing alternative mode of public transportation via the State’s Inland waterways.
Responsibilities include stimulating private sector participation in the water transport sector by show casing the viability of an hitherto untapped industry and simultaneously providing succor to the people and business of Lagos State by easing the hardship caused by commuting on the overwhelmed road network.
